Candidates are required to submit an application form and sit the entrance exams to enter Bachelor degree programmes at the University of Deusto.

Application submission deadlines:

  • First call Entrance exams:
    • Submission: from 15 January to 28 February 2018
    • Entrance exams: 9 de March in San Sebastian and in Vitoria (*) or 10 March in Bilbao
  • Second call Entrance exams:
    • Submission: from 1 March to 11 May 2018
    • Entrance exams: 18 May in San Sebastian and in Vitoria (*) or 19 May in Bilbao
       
  • Faculty of Theology programmes:
    • Application submission: from 15 January to 31 May 2018

In the event that available places remain on a degree programme, the deadlines will be extended. This information will be posted at www.deusto.es.
(*) Candidates who wish to sit the entrance exams in Vitoria must choose the Bachelor’s degree in Digital Industries as their first option. 

Where to submit the application form

Application forms must be submitted or sent by post to the General Secretariat of the University of Deusto, at either of its two campuses, or delivered in person at the Vitoria Information Office.

If applicants cannot deliver their applications during the General Secretariat’s office hours, they may be left at the Information desk.

Applications for the Bachelor's degree in Digital Industries may be submitted at Egibide-Deusto in Arriaga (Vitoria) 

The application process

Once the application form has been registered, the candidate will receive an email confirming that it is being processed. For this reason, a valid email address must be shown on the application form.

This email will inform applicants of their Student Identification Number, which must be saved for future queries, etc. 

What supporting documents must be submitted

The supporting documents to the admission form vary depending on the type of entry access:

Please note: applications for admissions will not be considered valid unless they carry applicant's original signature, or that of their tutor, if they are under age.

Important: Photocopies are accepted provided that applicants take responsibility for their authenticity.

1. Students from Bachillerato (or equivalent foreing qualifications)

  1. A valid ID card. A photocopy. Passport, only for foreign students (for EU citizens, the ID card is also valid).
  2. Original academic certification of the following marks:
  • 4th ESO (or equivalent foreign qualification),
  • 1st and 2nd years Bachillerato (or equivalent foreign qualifications).
  • Language certificates

2.  Students from Higher Training Programmes

1. A valid ID card. A photocopy. For EU citizens, the national ID card is also valid.

2. Original academic certification of the following marks:

  • 2nd Bachillerato of Intermediate Training Programme
  • 1st and 2nd Higher Training Programme.
  • Language certificates

3. Students from official university degree programmes in Spain

3.1. Completed university degrees

  1. A valid ID card. A photocopy. 
  2. Passport, only for foreigners. For EU citizens, the national ID card is also valid.
  3. Official academic transcript. A photocopy.

3.2. Uncompleted University degrees

  1. A valid ID card. A photocopy. Passport, only for foreigners. For EU citizens, the national ID card is also valid.
  2. Original academic certification of the following marks:
  • 4th ESO,
  • 1st year of the Baccalaureate and/or Higher Vocational Education or the equivalent
  • 2nd year of the Baccalaureate and/or Higher Vocational Education or the equivalent
  • University degrees, showing the marks obtained up to time the application is made.

3. Language certificates. Photocopies.

IMPORTANT: Photocopies are accepted provided that applicants take responsibility for their authenticity.
Applicants who have been previously enrolled at the University of Deusto should obtain information about the required documents to be provided, once those already submitted have been processed from the General Secretariat.

4. Students with foreign university degrees requesting partial recognition

  1. A valid ID card. A photocopy. For EU citizens, the national ID card is also valid.
  2. Official (public or private) accreditation from the institute of higher education where the student was enrolled.
  3. Official certificate accrediting level and type of studies completed, indicating:
    - Successfully completed subjects,
    - Type
    - Marks obtained,
    - Number of hours and
    - Assessment system used.
  4. Syllabus or chart of the subjects completed and required to obtain the degree, to be issued by the university.
  5. Programme for each subject proposed for recognition, with the seal of the university where it was completed and indication of the year in which it was passed. The competences, content, activities carried out and ECTS credits should be included.
  6. Sworn statement of not having applied for recognition or equivalence of the university degree to the Spanish Ministry and that they will renounce to apply for it if they are admitted to the university. Only those holding a foreign university degree (application forms ares available from the General Secretatiat).
  7. Unfavourable decision by the Ministry regarding the recognision or equivalence of qualifications. A certified photocopy1.

5. University Entrance Exam, according to age and work experience (for students over 25, students over 40 who submit proof of having work experience and students over 45).

  1. A valid ID card. A photocopy. Passport, only for foreigners. For EU citizens, the national ID card is also valid.
  2. A certificate of having successfully passed the Entrance Examination, or receipt of having enrolled in the Entrance Examination for students over 25 in the current academic year. Photocopies.
    Those registered for the entrance exams at UD are exempt from taking them.

6. Non-Spanish speaking foreign candidates

Non-Spanish speaking foreign candidates must also provide proof of having a good knowledge of Spanish language equivalent to B2 level of the CEFR, by submitting either a valid certificate or language test conducted at the Language Centre of the University of Deusto. This accreditation is not required for courses that are fully taught in English.

Additional supporting documents for those admitted to the BA in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences and/or Joint Programmes

Students who have received a Letter of Admission to the degree programme leading to the award of the BA in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences (or PCEO containing it) must submit an official medical certificate at the time of enrolment.
Although these documents are not required to apply for admission, below is a list of the supporting documents required for enrolment.

Official medical certificate stating explicitly and literally one of the three following options:

Fit: no restrictions on physical exercise or sports.
Fit with restrictions, which must necessarily state the guidelines and conditions in which the student can do sports or physical activity.
Not fit, which must necessarily state one of the following:

  • Temporarily for a certain activity or sport (specify which one),
  • Permanently for a certain activity or sport (specify which one).
  • Temporarily for any physical activity or sport.
  • The UD recommends that the medical certificate should be completed following a medical-sports physical examination consisting of the following at least:
  • Medical record (family history, lifestyle, past and current illnesses, surgery, known allergies, habitual medication).
  • Physical activity level.
  • Physical examination: Cardiopulmonary auscultation, blood pressure, peripheral pulse; ENT review; musculoskeletal examination (disorders in axes, limb differences, disorders of the spine in the frontal and sagittal plane, footprint); size and weight.
  • Additional tests: Resting ECG; spirometry; stress test.
