What is it?
It is a space for reflection and debate for social transformation that, taking as a reference the latest work of the famous economist Thomas Piketty "A brief history of equality" and by approaching a specific context of inequality (the marginal peri-urban suburbs of Latin America), tries to delve into the causes of inequality between countries and within each country; in the mechanisms that have led to its reduction over time; and in the measures that could be adopted to reduce the enormous inequalities that still exist.
The workshop is aimed at 2nd degree and 3rd degree double degree students from the different faculties of the University of Deusto who wish to be active agents of transformation through their professional activity.
5 sessions of 2 hours on Tuesday afternoons (at a time to be determined) on February 15 and 22, March 15 and 22 and April 5, plus a meeting on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning at Loyola on a tentative date of the 8 and April 9, 2022.
